FRACTURE Study

Radiologists

We need expert imaging specialists to help us in this study. If you think you can be of assistance, get in touch!

How Can I Help?

We welcome the involvement of radiologists (consultants and specialty fellows, ST5+) who specialise in paediatric, musculoskeletal and emergency imaging. If you would like to help with the FRACTURE study, there are several ways to contribute .

Option 1

Sign up to be the primary investigator for this study at your hospital. If you do not see your hospital listed on the ‘Sites’ page, and you perform acute bone X-rays for children, then contact us to find out how you can help to share your retrospective data for algorithm training and testing.

Option 2

Volunteer to be an ‘annotator’ for step 2 of the study plan. Once we collect anonymised data from our participating centres, we will ask radiologists to help identify whether or not there are fractures on the images so that we can train our AI algorithm to better detect and locate the abnormality. You can participate to help in labelling and annotating our images.

Option 3

Volunteer to be a ‘reader’ in step 3 of the study plan. We will test how accurate you are at finding fractures on children’s bone X-rays compared to our FRACTURE AI algorithm. We want to see whether this AI algorithm can perform as well as an expert radiologist.

Option 4

If you happen to be a parent, why not complete our patient & parent survey with your child?

Link to the survey can be found under the Parent/Child button on the main home page.

Thank you very much! To get in touch with us, please email info@fracturestudy.com
